In Lucid, without special effects, passing the mouse over a notification results
in the appearance of a black background around the notification, instead of
the notification disappearance.
The video attached shows the effect.
Attached are also my dmesg and lspci.

I also agree. I think the scrollbars are too heavy in the new themes. In my
opinion they should
not have background gradients at all. In fact, I feel the use of gradients in
the new themes
is a little bit abusive. I have now moved to Karmic back and my first feel was
that the whole appearance
