Just freshly installed Lucid on my acer aspire one (150 ab) and notice
that an SD card, when inserted, does not get mounted. If inserted before
booting it does however show up in nautilus.

The 2.5GB may be enough for installing Ubuntu, but as soon as there are updates
(and there almost always are right after installing) a new user will
immediately be confronted with an error! (not enough disk space)

In Jaunty there is no sound notification anymore (regression).
It is still possible to tick the plug-in in preferences, but it just doesn't
work.

In 8.04.1 it works fine, only the led doesn't work but that's a minor thing.
In intrepid everything works, also the led.

I can confirm this bug. Recreated it using a Sony-Ericcson k550i.
I have the exact same problem, Can create New-empty-folder on the phone, but
can not rename it.
Also it is not possible to send files from the PC to the Phone using 'browse
device' via BT icon.

I have a Intel gma 950 and the same problem here: screen dims to almost black
and then it pops back up with regular background.
It is now june 27 2008 and i have all updates installed.
I am sure it worked after I installed Hardy so it must have broken along the
way somewhere with updates. Though

I have this problem with sony vgn-n11s kernel 2.6.24-17-generic and dualboot
with Win-XP.
When the problem occurs I push power button to stop the laptop.
Then I boot into Win-XP and let win do a disk check-and repair on C: drive.
Win does the check next time it boots up.
After Win did the C: dri

Allthough PRO/Wireless 3945ABG does connect (manual connection). The last few
days (after updates?) it keeps losing connection every 10 minutes or so (very
annoying ). -> sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart gets the connection back
up again but only to be lost in the next so many minutes aga

I'm running Ubuntu gutsy and I can confirm the problem: Sending a file
from the computer to, in my case, a mobile phone is No problem. But if I
try to send a file from the phone to the computer, the phone can not
connect or doesn't 'see' the computer at all.

connection and it seems to be stable. Eventhough the ssid is not listed,
using the 'connect to another wireless network' function helped me
establishing a WEP encrypted connection. The LED is still not showing
however.

the desktop and choose: change desktop background. Nothing happens for a while
and then a warning sign says: gnome-appearance-properties crashed I/O error.

through manual configuration it keeps searchin forever. It also doesn't
see any ssid.

I found that if in the CompizConfig settings manager under General Options I
unmarked the option " Unredirect fullscreen windows"

All files I sent you come from the same machine, and that is why I wondered why
it works in Dapper and Edgy, but not Feisty.
I indeed do use WEP and mot WPA. When I use another pcmcia card (netgear
WG511T) I have no problems connecting.

It can see the SSID, however so the hardware does communicate. I have tried
