i.ve been on this bug list for a year now. i had it with this neither
ubuntu one nor usc works behind ntlm proxies. guys just give ip appearently
canonical cares more about the parts of ubuntu which kay never bring any
revenue.

Yes I confirm the bug exists even today with all updates. Sharing the
network worked well for at least the last 3 releases of ubuntu.
Basically I choose Shared in the dhcp server, Now the connection keeps
connecting and disconnecting rapidly. That's all.

Yes. This happends only with HTTP proxies which requires authentication.

Yes Michael, The bug is specifically for http proxies which require
authentication. If the proxy does not require it then the problem would
be not clicking on Apply system wide.

USC doesn't follow gnome proxy settings in terms of auth. info. It
always gives me proxy auth error when I'm behind a proxy. I have a
workaround but still this is a bug to be reported.

OMG! this still not fixed! I had a lot of people upgrading to Karmic
instead of Windows and most of them cursed me back for EVEN MSN doesn't
work! I know there are solutions but the DEFAULT IM Application can't
use proxies RIDICULOUS!
