Ohoh... perhaps it work on Edgy, but in Jaunty the bug is present !
It the mouse pointer is just outside the window when GDM start, the gdm
window doesn't have focus.

Ohoh, it isn't a bug...
gdmsetup > second onglet > second list alias theme
The default i386 configuration is different of the amd64 configuration.
The i386 configuration is bad because only one theme are selected in the
list.
