Hello, I am currently using Ubuntu 10.04 using the P35-DS3R raid as described above. I have 2 drives in RAID 0 config and ubuntu installed on another IDE drive. I don't care about seeing the raid, but I am being affected by the HPA problem. It always seems to unlock one of my RAID drives which causes it to be seen as member offline on my next warm reboot. A cold reboot fixes the problem. I tried the method above to create libata-options and use the update methods, I have tried setting ignore_hpa=1 and 0 but the system still unlocks the drive. Am I missing something? I don't know how to add libata.ignore_hpa to the kernel command line and can't seem to find good documentation.
