In the guest session the problem doesn't occur, the F9 key works great. The test environment from that first command you've sent me recognizes the F9 key being pressed. On the other side, on my own account the test environment doesn't output anything, just freezes into that gray layer (and reco

I don't know exactly where the preferences are located but i've renamed ~/.gnom2/gedit and /usr/share/gedit-2 directories and started Gedit. The problem is still there. The screen gets covered in the gray layer as when X stops responding, i guess. Again, the thing recovers when i click somewher
