Yes sorry to say that it does. I would like to know if there is any way
to reset back to previous version or repair the effected files. If not I
will do a clean install and rebuild the machine.

Additional to last e-mail. I noticed that a few of the libreoffice files.
Draw and gtk had incomplete final lines tried deleting the final line then
running each one gave a better result. then tried to install all libre
office. final error code 1. the new list files look completely diffrent now
Thanks. tried that have checked hard disk and memory all ok. this install
failed. the problem started when I tried to upgrade to 10.10. the result of
the attempted install of libreoffice-impress is attached. the list file is
no longer present.
is there an easy way to revert back to 10.04?

tried to do that. Unable to install Impress after I was trying to us the
package manager should I try command line. I also seem to have a lot more of
these messages now relating to other packages that claim to be installed.
guessing command line would be apt-get libreoffice-impress
