I have same problem with gnome-app-install. I did fresh install of ubuntu 8.10
and after a few hour installing various packages with gnome-app-install and
synaptics, gnome-app-install failed to work. However after removing nvidia
restricted driver gnome-app-install was working again. T

Firefox is alone crashing on that site not the whole system. I do not know
other sites it does that.
Sometimes it works though. I try that url occasionally and maybe one in three
times it works. Usually I get better result when I have been surfing for awhile
before trying to load that url.
I did a clean install of Ubuntu 8.04 (for other reasons than firefox crash).
However firefox still crashes on site

I tried "locate libflashsupport.so" but file not found.

Today morning after half hour internet surfing, I tried site:

close firefox and started it again. I tried to load url above and
firefox close by itself.

Unfortunately I must now tell you that something went wrong with
networkmanager again. As I did some ATA-device configuration and changed
to static ip and back to dhcp again now networkmanager shows "no network
connection". Network connection is OK, only networkmanager shows false

I'm sorry, but my configuration has now changed. I made clean install of
ubuntu 7.04 and now networkmanager is working. Networkmanager was not
the reason because internet connection was OK.
Now there is two network indicators on panel. Networkmanager 0.6.4 and

Networkmanager 0.6.4 shows "no network connection" although other
program network monitor applet 2.12.1 shows my working connect right.
Networkmanager pops up on panel every start.
