Tried it with the live Jaunty 9.04 Alpha4 liveCD with no better results.
Went to sleep, never woke back up.
I also tried on another PC which had sleep problems before, it still
didn't work either.

I just build up a new computer. I currently have a fresh Hardy (8.04)
on it. Just installed from CD, then got all the updates.
I can suspend (suspend-to-ram, S3) the computer fine. Problem is that I
can't get it to resume. I hit a button and the fans come on, things
start

I tried to install 8.10 from the 32-bit Beta Live CD. Here is what
happens:
* Boot to CD and select "Install Ubuntu"
* Go to screen with logo and progress bar
* Progress bar bounces back and forth then fills almost completely
