Public bug reported:
Sometimes when coming back after locking the screen I am unable to
unlock. The login box on the screen has a disabled password input field
with the buttons also disabled.
Except for the mouse, the entire screen is frozen. Even the time in the
top of the screen stops going. Th
@peterhull90: I think you must have installed some package that provides
the ScanView module as I still have the same problem. Most likely it is
a missing dependency somewhere. I just can't seem to find the package I
need to fix this problem.
Could you perhaps post a list of your installed package

When installing the package php-amqp, the amqp.ini ends up in /etc/php

This results in two warnings during installation:

The problem is still there. It does not happen as frequently as in the
beginning though.
Also, I noticed that if I do not log in directly, but instead wait for a
while after the login-screen is up, the issue is less likely to appear.

Public bug reported:
Since installing oneiric on my system, gnome-mplayer is no longer able
to suppress the screensaver from starting.
I have tried checking the option "Use X Screen Saver above Gnome Power
Manager", but without avail.
This is a regression from ubuntu 11.04, where it worked fine.

I also have this problem. The interesting thing is that starting lightdm
again seems to work.
What I did:
++
login using username and password
sudo start lightdm && logout
This would bring up lightdm just like it should. I have no idea why it
would specifically during boot.
