FWIW I also created a ticket with HP about this, but it feels more like
an Ubuntu issue since 24.04.3 works fine.

Public bug reported:
Downloaded the ISO for Ubuntu 22.04.4, and verified sha256. Via ILO, our
HP DL345 G11 servers would not boot from that as virtual media. Tried
with 22.04.3 and it worked fine. Tried repeatedly on two separate
systems.

Ubuntu from a Live USB on the same machine, and when suspending, all
appears to work OK.” :)

This was driving me dilly after I upgraded to 24.04. It took me a lot of
searching and trial to work out that this was happening because I was

Public bug reported:
Using Ubuntu Server 24.04 LTS
After upgrading my packages, including Netplan (using "apt dist-upgrade") and
rebooting, network configuration (netplan yaml file) was no longer applied to
the server.
I noticed some changes related to file/directory permissions in

Hmm.. Installing libnss-systemd is supposed to add that line
automatically. Do you remember, did you happen to change nsswitch.cnf
manually somehow? backup/restore, Ansible, etc?
