GDM fail to start on Intel Mobile 945GM/GMS
- Gutsy beta and edubuntu 7.10 live CD and daily build (20071002), GDM does
not start after boot (progress bar). Keep restarting again and again.
- Gutsy beta alternate, Installs well, but GDM does not start. Keep restarting
again and again.
The system config:
- Mac mini intel
- Acer AL1713
LiveCD Gutsy beta and Edubuntu 7.10 beta on Mac Mini Intel, Mobile Intel
945 GM, Acer AL1713 display.
LiveCD fails to start GDM / X
tried sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg but no success. It stops
after:
* Running local boot scripts(/etc/rc.local) [OK]

Intel mobile graphics controller not
osteenbergen, which ver. of ndiswrapper you are using?
Edimax EW-7108PCg PCMCI card. To me the fresh installed Gutsy Beta
worked well. But after the 1st successful update using the same card. It
started freezing randomly. It also freezes randomly using ndiswrapper
1.48 (more stable than rt61)

One of my friend also has the same problem, for whom I installed Ubuntu
7.04 on a Fujitsu-Siemens Pentium III notebook, using usb bluetooth
Microsoft mouse.
