new install of 20.04 using fwupdmgr --version 1.3.9 and still affects
me. was able to go to fwupd.org, download the [hash?]-Logitech-
Unifying-[version].cab file and install with fwupdtool install
[filename] successfully. One failure during install:

the openssl.cnf fix doesn't really work... allows me to connect to
sites, but when loading their pages, it takes forever. unusable. Also
tried SECLEVEL=0... same.

Also affects me with many HTTPS sites, such as teams.microsoft.com, but
haven't been able to post a bug here because SSL or whatever isn't
working. I imagine many can't post that it's broken, but tons of
websites aren't working in Firefox or chrome or wget for me.

I just installed a VM (virtualbox) with 12.04 x64, and it does the same
thing... but when upgrading a 11.10 x64 to 12.04, it does not. I didn't
see a difference in /etc/apt/ . Is there somewhere else I should be

updates that my work computer (also 12.04) does not receive. If one of
them is receiving them, wouldn't that mean there have been changelogs
uploaded?

I don't think that this is a duplicate of bug #1001609, as that seems to
be a missing changelog from one or some packages, and this is from ALL
updates. I'm also having this issue on a 12.04 Ubuntu, where *
I'm running Lubuntu 11.04 x64, fresh install, and I have this issue. I
note that my applications in the menu [that need privileges] have a
gksu, and changing them to gksudo makes them launch just fine. It's
just when I launch apps with gksu that it happens. Changing the
application menu entries

tried eldad 's solution: 1) download xargs.dtx from ctan, 2) in that
dir, run "latex xargs.dtx" (produces a bunch of xargs.* files), 3) sudo
