First, I still think there is a good argument for percentage as a useful
statistic because your time remaining is a function of what you're using
your computer for (gaming/video editing/flash vs word processing), while

I know that if I run with the 'Cover art' plugin disabled I don't have
this issue. Since it is playing in the background most of the time, I
don't mind not having the cover art displayed. So, it is not really an
issue for me.
I can turn the plugin back on and try to get more info if you'd like,
Apologies for the lack of response. After filing the bug, I disabled the
random selection of screen savers and have select just one light weight
