This device does not currently work in Lucid, I will test it in the
daily build tonight. The device is recognized as a wireless device and
can collect and inject packets into wireless networks, but if you
attempt to connect to a network it invariably fails to establish a
connection.
I'm not sure
I can confirm that this device will not connect to a wireless network in
Karmic.

I've had the same problem. My work around was to drop to tty from the
login prompt (clicking the login window corrupted and froze the system)
and then remove the current nvidia drivers:
sudo apt-get purge nvidia-glx-*
Install the latest:
sudo apt-get install nvidia-glx-185
and then run nvidia
