I am able to run the Kubuntu upgrade 22.04.5 to 24.04.1 without errors,
but when i reboot after the upgrade, i get just a console login. KDE is
not starting. In the console ifconfig only shows me the lo device and no
network interface with the command "ifconfig". Kubuntu 24.04
Please note that FTBFSes on arm* have been resolved in mir 2.14.1-8
(Debian unstable). Maybe sync that version first?

When playing a video full screen there is a constant stutter every 10
odd seconds.
It is a fresh install of ubuntu 24.04.1 - installed mpv and mediainfo
Had extreme screen tearing in full screen - so installed unredirect
extension to solve that.

It's specific to intel video.
Installed a radeon graphics card as a test, problem dissappears.
Remove the card, switch back to integrated graphics, problem comes back.
Also tested HW decoding and forcing software, makes no difference, both
stutter with intel.

Ok, although that didn't fix the issue, the output did give me a clue.
When you put the computer into hibernate, it writes the resume file to the
system swap.
My system has a secondary swap file:

as when I select the previous kernel (6.8.0-48) from Grub menu the

I have created noble 24.04 container with the following command:
lxc-create -B dir -t download -n noble-simple -- -d ubuntu -r noble -a amd64
then try to start the container running using:
lxc-start noble-
I have the same issue with a Sennheiser Accentum headset since upgrading

Same issue occurred for me today on upgrade from 22.04 to 24.04. There
was some error during the initial upgrade, causing it to exit and it had
to be resumed. After the upgrade completed, `/etc/resolv.conf/`
Please, I am sure you are busy, but it is such a simple (and safe fix)
and has such strange and undecipherable consequences.
There are a couple of other bugs that I submitted around the same time, equally
trivial fixes that would also be nice.

The upstream maintainer has already implemented a fix and tagged a new
release which I have tested as working. You were not wrong when you said
they were responsive! The version that includes the fix is 3.5.0.4.
