And for the people out there (like me) who have trouble deciphering code.
1.Find the mythexport.postinst file
(for me it was at /var/lib/dpkg/info (unbuntu 14.10))
2. remove the line with the -- (as you will see the -- is not actually
there)
3. add the line

On thing is worth mentioning: if I disable all the Compiz effects,
plugging or unplugging an external monitor does not turn the desktop and
windows unresponsive, but unity panel and launcher, and also window
decoration (with the close and minimize buttons) disappear. Does this
give any clue?

System was left unbootable and broken because Grub could not be found at
boot time.
To try and fix the problem I used the

desktop, I could restart the installation and then it would work. I was

Same here on a dmcrypt /home partition. A sleep 0.1 does not do it, nor does a
sleep 1. But if I ignore the error (pressing I) then I can continue normally...
I have checked this partition and it is perfectly fine fsck-wise.

Ok, it wasn't the new AMD ATI Drivers what seemed to solve the
problem, which is still present.
This is what I just did:
I've removed all packages fglrx, xserver-xorg-video-ati and xserver-
xorg-video-radeon.
I reinstalled xserver-xorg-video-ati and the mesa libraries.
I deleted the xorg.conf.
I have the same problem in Maverick.

workaround is -still- using this other kernel http://kernel.ubuntu.com

GOOD NEWS: this problem has magically disappeared (I guess, after some
update). It doesn't resume the 100% of the times, but it is working good
enough. You can close this if you want.

I confirm the crash also simmerlarly for Calc. Without Orca running
everything is fine. Starting a new document and after quit OO either
with ctrl+w or through File Close, Orca stops speaking and pressing
enter on the dialog window on the screen Orca resume speaking. I have to
start OO over again

system goes to sleep and in 460566 it didn't. The problem here is that I
can't resume.
I'm not sure if the package is the kernel or the gnome-power-manager. In
that situation (460566) the bug was automatically generated (when

Now it remains the other little problem :)

Since Maverick my screen looks like the file attached. With lucid lynx I
had no problems.
The kernel http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v2.6.34-lucid
solves the problem, but it is not an official one.

With my MSI LAPTOP PR310 I can't resume the computer after suspension or
hibernation since Maverick. This problem wasn't in Lucid.
Also, if I unplugged the computer the system goes to hibernation, even
if my battery it's fully
