Same started happening to me when I add a device to the headphones jack.
I tried kolobok-not-dead 's suggestion. Flickering disappears, but
unfortunately the mixer's volume cannot be changed.

From what I can tell the program fixed the issue in my NP900X4C!
Now the only thing missing from having the perfect ubuntu experience is
the keyboard backlight working properly (not working at all right now).

I have been experiencing the same problem in deluged - frequent crashes (every
few hours).
What I've found:
1) No log written (currnelty in DEBUG )
2) I have crash reports in /var/crash/*
3) When I had access to the Unitiy interface, I saw that the apport report
talked about a RC4 () SEGFAULT

1) Upgraded libtorrent to 0.16.11, from the PPA

This bug also affects me. I just bought a TP-Link Nano USB Adapter (TL-
WN725N), which has the following chipset:
Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTL8188CUS 802.11n WLAN
Same behaviour as described in original poster: after supplying a password, it
will never be able to successfully connect.
Given Olcay's comment (#155), does this mean we can expect a working
kernel in a near future?
What would an ETA be for this? Is 1 week viable?
Please let me know how I can help. I can test a patched kernel to confirm if
the fix works. Just let me know how.
