I upgraded Dapper to Feisty Fawn. The /usr directory had the permissions
700. I changed it to 755.

I solved it. The /usr -directory did not have the right permissions.
But why the GDM consumes 99% CPU? An error would be helpfull!

Since today ubuntu does not start correctly. When gdm starts i just see a

5-10 minutes the callee heres a very loud noise. The microphone gauge
