I experienced the renaming crash in Thunar with a new installation of Xubuntu 15.10. I changed the group permissions (right click - properties - permissions) to 'read and write'. The fault seems to have disappeared for the moment. If it persists it's an easy fix.
No wait, it only works for folders not for single files!! However, pdf files in root of documents can now be be renamed without crashing. I am convinced that this has something to do with permissions in general as applied from Thunar root - preferences - advanced - permissions Mike Mc Grath -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1512120 Title: thunar crashes on file renaming To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/thunar/+bug/1512120/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
