I too have a Toshiba Portégé M200 running Edgy/6.10. The descriptions that Vince give also mirror the symptoms I see. Some kind of disconnect between the kernel and the ttyS0 serial port. If Vince sees the problem in Feisty, I'm hesitant to upgrade. What information can I provide to help narro
