confirmed geekfreak. your original fix works as long as the mouse is moved to a secondary display before running the script, even if the mouse 'breaks' in the primary display. I was working off the primary display when running the script and thus the original fix did not work. To me it is easier

Well Reuben's break is confirmed for my system. However geekfreak's fix will not work for me. The only fix found on two screens with different resolutions, is to 'alt+tab' to a window on screen 1. Attempt to move that window on screen 1 with 'alt+F7'. This first attempt fails, so I alt+tab back

Quick tip that I wanted to share to get out of the no-click mouse problem. Got this idea from trying variations of Kevin Brown's solution. Keep holding down Alt+F7 while left clicking and moving the mouse around.. Works for me every time so far. Makes the glitch more livable for now. -- X.org
