In jaunty it was working but with some manual workaround that i donì't
remember.

Were they working in Jaunty? If so, please try selecting an output +
input (duplex) profile from the hardware tab in the volume control
preferences
It is resolved for acer 5715z. You can open another bug. Or change the name of
this one maybe?

I have the same problem. I cannot move the windows in a part of the
screen (the new one). It is related to compiz cause metacity does not

Strangely if i change conf (after re-logging in) and then click on keep
previous resolution it remember the old one.

I have the same problem in ubuntu feisty with brasero 0.5.2 from the repo. This
