Thanks Hilario for reporting! I was starting to feel abandoned given
that nobody ever showed interest at

Public bug reported:
$ sudo etckeeper init
Initialised empty Git repository in /etc/.git/
$ sudo etckeeper commit "initial commit"
$ sudo etckeeper vcs log
fatal: bad default revision 'HEAD'
Installing packages doesn't seem to trigger commits either.

Either that and even if it doesn't work, can't we get a hack that kills
the entire X session in the event the lock is unsuccessful? Or call a
user-defined script? Those would be more useful than removing the
feature altogether.

This bug is definitely still present in Ubuntu 12.04
I think this is what's in dmesg around the time it disconnects:

2 [119986.967654] cfg80211: (start_freq - end_freq @ bandwidth),

Thanks Pedro.
I've just tried the rhythmbox package that's currently in precise. It
doesn't seem to have rhythmbox-client in it yet. Do you know when it
will be there?

Not sure when we'll see the fixed package come out in oneiric but until
then, one solution is to pin rhythmbox back to the natty version:
To do so, create the file /etc/apt/preferences.d/rhythmbox-pin
containing:
Package: rhythmbox
Pin: release n=natty
Pin-Priority: 1001
Then copy /etc/apt/sourc
Is there anyone that uses maximunize that is NOT affected by this bug?
Has anyone managed to resolve the issue?
