Some update comments on the issue with the Ubuntu 18.04 network
connectivity that started as soon as I installed Ubuntu Server 18.04
with the motherboard using this Intel i219-v network adapter.
The issue is getting worse, not better. Previously the "drop" of the
network connection with Ubuntu Se
?? How do we go about working with someone to get this issue with the
Intel i219-v ethernet controller fixed on Ubuntu 18.04? The issue has
existing since day one of the install and continues to this day.
Ethernet/Internet connectivity should be 100% staple on any OS.

Here's the syslog from today. Had another drop network connection
episode around around 9:40pm. same behaviour. Works Ok most of the day,
often for a day or two, though the download speed on the speedtests is
no where near where it should be (that's my indication that something is
not configured
Here is the syslog file from Aug. 21 the last time the ethernet
connectivity on the i219-v onboard NIC disappeared and I had to manually
disable and re-enable the network interface.

The "Internet dropping" issue started as soon as I installed this
complete new Ubuntu Server 18.04 on the ASRock z370m Pro4 motherboard.
Then added the GNOME Desktop, and had to change the Ethernet network
configuration to use Netplan and NetworkManager service.
