Addendum: This bug was present on 16.04 too, but running "dropbox stop
&& DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS="" dropbox start" after login fixed the
Dropbox icon. It no longer works in 16.10; the command runs successfully
dropbox stop && DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS="" dropbox start
Dropbox daemon stopped.

I'm on Xubuntu 16.10, and this bug is present on xfce4-panel, at least
for the Dropbox icon. All other icons I have there (Boinc Manager,
Network indicator, clipman, Volume, pulseaudio, and qbittorrent) appear
normally.

This bug affects my system (Kubuntu 11.10 64-bit) specifically with
Google Earth. No matter how I try to install GE, whether from the 64-bit
deb from Google, or using the googleearth-package installer, trying to
start GE in terminal results in "/usr/bin/google-earth: 43:
./googleearth-bin: not fou

I think I'm experiencing the same bug. Kubuntu 11.04, 64-bit, KDE 4.6.2.
Terminal output:

Please reconsider the decision to remove aptitude from the base
install. CLI tools are important for the desktop, as well as a server,
and we (Ubuntu desktop users) have few enough of them installed by
default as it is.

No joy here either. I have a Sansa View; I upgraded to 9.10 from 9.04.
I tried downgrading libgphoto2, didn't work. This is very frustrating.
