Would you mind writing the commands to manually enter the gateway on a
different subnet, because I can't get it working?

I have the same problem (When a checkbox has focus it becomes a bigger
empty square), how did you solve this?
I'm on kubuntu 8.04, ff 3b4, updgraded yesterday. I've had ff3 beta on
7.10 too, but I didn't get this behavior.
