Installation of Ubuntu 10.04 beta1 desktop i386 from CD-ROM on MSI K8MM3-V,
Athlon 64, 1GB RAM, 75GB HD crashes on step 4 of 7 (cursor freezes - hard
reboot necessary). Hard drive has somewhat unusual partitions: Windows XP and
leftovers from Ubuntu and openSUSE

This bug is related to ubiquity in a sense that it should gracefully recover
from crash of partitioning module (gparted?). The underlying reason is gparted
freezing. When I run installation CD in try Ubuntu mode I observe the
folowing:
