p.s. the app hangs only when using ethernet adapter
$ lspci
05:01.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd.
RTL-8139/8139C/8139C+ (rev 10)
when switching to wireless adapter, network detection works fine and the
tool perfectly terminates.
$ lspci
03:00.0 Network controller: Intel
confirm. exatcly the same situation on lenovo 3000 n100 laptop.
