The majority of fonts affected in OOo come from msttcorefonts. Removing that package and my fonts.cache and fonts.conf files makes fonts render the same weird way in Firefox. Reinstalling msttcorefonts solves the Firefox problem but Arial etc. once again render as in the screenshot above in OOo. -
