I am having the same issue as Skyman. Kubuntu 15.04, all updates applied. VirtualBox 5.0.2. Guest additions installed.
Wallpaper does not take up entire workspace area. It appears to be stuck at 800x600, in the upper-left quadrant. Cannot bring up context menu with right-click, except within the area where the wallpaper is shown. This is a 1920x1080 monitor, but with taskbars, the resolution of the VM is 1920x1034. The slider goes all the way over to 2560x1600. The "Unify outputs" button is active. Clicking it changes the resolution to 2560x1600, extending the window off the screen. The problems persist at resolutions above 800x600. I managed to get it to display somewhat properly by enabling some drivers and rebooting. I wasn't being deliberate with this, so at this point I am unsure what I did. Now the wallpaper scales properly, but there is no right-click context menu anywhere. The folder shortcuts for Home and Trash do nothing when I click on them. The taskbar and kicker menu disappear when I click on them. I can get them to come back by down-sizing the VM window, and then re-maximizing it. But it will disappear again when I click on it or try to launch something, or even hover my mouse over it for several seconds. I opened Settings, but it will not display; it only appears on the taskbar. After it disappears, I can hover over where those items ought to be, and will get the info popup bubble, as if they are still there but invisible. If I can figure out what it was I did with enabling drivers, I will provide that information here. I cannot use the VM this way, but perhaps it will provide some insight as to what is happening. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1429488 Title: Kubuntu Vivid 1 Beta 15.04: Background image does not scale with virtual box To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/meta-kde/+bug/1429488/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
