other performance issues related to Gnome-Keyring and Chrome. During
those times, top shows that Gnome-Keyring is using a good portion of the

Yes, it works in Caja. I originally filed this against Ubuntu Mate,
thinking that it was something to be fixed in Mate, since Files isn't
the file manager in Mate :/

Has apt hung at setting up mailman.
says run "sudo dpkg --configure -a"
this just keeps hanging and never completes.
therefore apt does not work at all now.
so cannot update my server.

During update of 16.04LTS mailman 2.1.20-1 tried to upgrade and now my
whole apt-get system will not work. It tells me to run dpkg --configure
-a and then hangs forever trying to setup mailman 2.1.20-1

A month later, I just realised this works:
ipaddr_type_availability=01
It needs to be zero-padded to 2 digits to work. Go figure.

Apparently the package appmenu-qt5 interferes with the ability to use
the keyboard shortcuts in the ipe drawing program, if ipe is compiled
with qt5.

This clearly shows the issue. The first monitor res should be 1920 wide,
not 3520. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Since upgrading from Ubuntu 15.10 to 16.04, Unity is now shown across
both my monitors in a hard to use manner: unity dialogues, such as the
log-out and shutdown popups, are displayed centered between both
monitors, so the left half is on one monitor, and the right half on

I found the cause and solution. The ~/.cache/thumbnails directory was
for some unknown reason not owned by my user. I fixed that and now
nautilus appears to be behaving normally. Apparently is was caught in a
loop trying to update thumbnails but could not.
