fsck.ntfs is missing because nobody has ever developed an open source
ntfs fixer.
There is an ntfsfix which only fixes a few important parameters, so you
may have to use chkdsk on Windows.

with a '-' (dash) where only '_' (underscore) are expected.
This situation is seen independently of the deployed charmed.
No error is raised within the COS in the vast majority of the cases

I confirm that, at least for my configuration (Dell Inspiron 5400 AIO), kernels
6.5 and 6.8 breaks display brightness controls.
Tested 22.04.4 LTS linux-generic-hwe-22.04, so 6.5.0-41 at this time, and 24.04
with a live USB (so 6.8 kernel) i cant adjust brightness. The slider is no
longer
I personally did not try to install 23.04 and anything above 22.04 LTS.
Just 24.04 with a live usb and the bug was present.
At the moment every version of 6.5 kernel i updated to broke the
brightness slider. Maybe i missed a few version as for me, using the
5.15 GA kernel is good for now.

items in it.
Not sure it's really a folder, more a link to an other folder as i see this in

The file shown is "system compressed", which is the case for most
Windows 10 system files. You need the "system-compressed" plugin to read
it with ntfs-3g, and unfortunately Ubuntu has not packaged it yet.

I changed the repository adress and was able to upgrade to 18.04. I lost

Per coincidence, I worked on this same bug today, as I'm hoping to try
make use of the amdpro legacy OpenCL drivers, which will need amdgpu as
a base.
The issue is Ubuntu is providing newer kernel HWE stacks with amdgpu
driver modules, but failing to keep related Linux firmware packages up
to date
Yes this is a 12 years old bug but here is fix:
Either add "acpi_rsdp=0xf7f70 acpi=rsdt" to your kernel command line parameters
OR flash the patched BIOS at https://badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?p=1088210
for a permanent fix.
