sl-modem-daemon not available for AMD64 ...in Gutsy
but available for i386 platform .
I've managed to install the package included in debian :
http://packages.debian.org/sid/sl-modem-daemon/amd64/download
It seems to work fine !
What about including this package for

after install of irda-utils, at next reboot, no keybord and no mouse
working at gdm logon ...
Boot in failsafe mode and uninstall with 'apt-get remove irda-utils
--purge' seems to solve the problem ...
Tested with different versions of kernel
