I use i386 32bits version, happened to me too: attaching partitions (ext3 and
fat32) on non-default location. After returning to live desktop I tried again
and succeeded. I chose btw to remain on the safe side and created only mount
points from one physical hard disk.
mount points:
/dev/sda5 /wi
I am running easy peasy 1.5 (based on 9.04) from live usb stick. I had a
running connection to the ftp server when I tried to upload 2 other
directories. Then gftp crashed

1. I am however not sure, if it is fixed for 8.10 final only? RC of Kubuntu
Live CD (kubuntu-8.10-rc-desktop-i386.iso) shows still shows the bug. The boot
stalls for half a minute, but then
1. This bug is marked as invalid, but I observe the same when booting Kubuntu
i386 Live CD RC (from kubuntu-8.10-rc-desktop-i386.iso).
2. This bug looks like bug 274346 and bug 246269, but I am not sure
