I found this bug also
but I change the time and date by using date command
for example,
to set "Mar 1 14:07:00 2009"
you type this command in Terminal (Konsole)
sudo date 030114072009

problem by edit /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist; blacklist bcm43xx and b43
legacy, as follows:
# replaced by b43 and ssb.
blacklist bcm43xx
blacklist b43legacy
if you can't boot the system to edit it, you could use a knoppix's
live

I have the same problem but the two last lines are :
- b43legacy-phy0: Broadcom 4301 WLAN found
- Clocksource tsc unstable (delta = 4687308187 ns)
I try to add the option "clocksource=hpet" but it not solve the problem

yesterday, I try to install Hardy Heron with alternate cd and it works but when
I boot, I have the same problem.
And Ubuntu 7.10 work perfectly on my laptop too. I use Compaq Preserio R3000
ps. it is the same problem when I run livecd of Hardy too.
