thanks for answering.
During handling -not playing- that error occurred also saying that I
don't have enough memory for a report (8 GB here). Meanwhile, I use
Ubuntu 20.04 and after the latest updates the error didn't occur after I
reinstalled Knossos.

The grey box shows the files included, including the files for the low-
power chipset LP-PHY BCM4312 PCI 14e4:4315 and BCM4318
Confirmed after the do-release-upgrade from 10.04 to 12.04, 32 bit.

I think I solved the problem by renaming/deleting the folder
/home/$USER/.mozilla/firefox and restarting FF again
Strangely there was another folder in /home/$USER/ named ".2.mozilla".
Only deleting this one did not solve the problem.

no reaction on anything) but window can be minimized etc. After about 20
s anything works fine. It repeads any hour or so.

number into the network-manager-settings, NOT "automatically". If this

I had a similar problem with Maverick (64bit) in VBox during "sudo apt-
get upgrade":

Same problems in the german ubuntuusers-Forum in some cases but only
with Upgrades both from Hardy and Karmic. Not only with wine but also
with other packages. It seems that the package installer doesnt work
properly enough in some cases.
You can try to rename (not remove!) the corresponding
/var/
You can try to boot into the recovery mode (netroot !) and uninstall
that particular package with "sudo apt-get purge packagename" and to
"sudo dpkg --configure -a" if necessary due to the upgrade interruption.

In Karmic Koala (9.10) I never read anything about this bug. With Kernel
2.6.31-xx it should run both in -rt and -generic with OOo 3.1.1. But I
have to mention that I made a clean install of 9.10 not an upgrade
because of the ext4 file system

It is still a problem with rt! I just found it again in the german forum
(i am only running in generic so I didn't see the problem actually).
OOo3.1 is not running in rt, in my case with compiz installed...

Only the rt-kernel is shipped with ubuntu studio! So, yes, you have to
install it again. After that you boot into the generic kernel, add the
repositories and the key for the ppa files and you can install it under
the generic kernel. After that you can boot into the rt-kernel and OOo
should work.

x-server is not starting with compiz installed... So I am currently only
running the generic kernel. Did you install

linux-restricted-modules-rt

files for your particular kernel?
