Please explain me something. AFAIK removing evms criples some
functionality related to automounting - according to some comments in
this (and related) bug report. If so, why removing evms is an accepted
way of resolving this issue?

Strange, but it looks like the source of this problem is running
fireflier demon. When I turn it off, hibernate works (but a lot of other
scary errors appear during hibernate/restore process).
