Well, this bug is not new, it is in Ubuntu for ages and I am surprised
it was not fixed yet.
There is a clock in the right upper corner of Unity desktop (indicator-
datetime) and when I click the clock, small window with calendar is

This is not a bug report. It is request for missing feature...
/usr/bin/host utility to check DNS is limited to send DNS queries to
port 53. There is no option to change port for DNS queries. Other
utilities, like dig, can change port. I can change DNS server but port
is alwa
OpenDNS support reported that problem was fixed. From my point of view
it was really fixed...
Technical details:
The redirection problem should now be fixed.
Some technical detail: Computers that are configured to use both IPv6
and IPv4 will perform a DNS query for both the A and records fo

ignored and wget downloads certificate from correct server:

Notebook Comapaq NC6000 has bluetooth module that was designed for bluetooth
1.1. Mouse was compatible with 2.0 or 2.1.
I replaced module version 1.1 with newer module that is 2.1; you can get such
module at eBay, it is small module with BCM92046 chip; easy to repl
I downloaded Ubuntu Desktop 12.04 i386 BETA2. I failed to boot this
live CD because my notebook has older mobile CPU (i686, 1.6GHz) without
PAE support. Live CD with new Ubuntu requires CPU with PAE support and
boot fails several seconds after start. :-( I cannot retest this bug

I found that notebook Dell D600 has similar network card. But I cannot
replicate the issue at D600; the same network, the same server, the same
network cable... NetXtrema card in D600 works, but similar card in
NC6000 is troublemaker. Network chip used in D600 is different from the
one used in NC60

One more issue found with NC6000:
Problem with audio. When headphones are connected to 3.5mm notebook socket,
internal speaker is not muted. Sound is played in headphones and from internal
speakers. Not nice for Ubuntu; WinXP don't haved this problem. The same issue
observed at HP NC4200
