No error output. Hardware drivers list is blank. Also, if there were a
wish list, whenever the machine is restarted the broadcom driver needs
to be disabled and re-enabled before it will work???

I am experiencing the same thing, and all the workarounds that I have
tried do not work. Ubuntu 8.10 seems not to like two cards. I have
uninstalled NM and tried to configure through /interfaces config file
and tried wicd, so far I cannot get anything to work. I am trying to
