I can confirm that Live CD boots to a black screen in both i-mac/400mhz
and e-mac/1ghz from 5.10 to 8.04. 5.04 boots normally. The e-mac has ATI
graphics. None of the workarounds posted on related bug topics have
yielded any results.

I tested it with Feisty on my iMac G3/400. As of 4/7/07, the bug is the
same as before--black screen only.

Dapper Drake 6.06: On iMac with ATI Rage 128 Pro video card, once the X
server starts, the screen is black. This is true both for Ubuntu and
Kubuntu. Using the boot option video=ofonly results in a diagonally
garbled CLI.
