I'm running the Ubuntu kernel on Debian Squeeze where apport is not available. However, i can report that kernel 3.2.0-0.bpo.4-amd64 3.2.46-1~bpo60+1 from Debian Squeeze Backports does not generate this issue. (The above settings are applied there too). Might be related to Bug #1225494. **
