Public bug reported:
I have been running saned for a couple of years on both 16 and 18.
Recently it has stopped working with the message that it is masked. I
don't use the scanner all that often so I cannot say exactly when it
stopped working, certainly in the last few weeks.

Dear all, I seem to have the same problem. Will try to post a backtrace,
but for now this may be a first step:

Today I ran the software updater and rebooted. I now find that I am
unable to print to Brother_HL_L8260CDW_series printer; all I get is
garbage and a lot of wasted paper.
I am printing plain text. I have tried printing it from Evolution,
Mousepad, and by piping it into lpr.
Further to my previous note, trying to unlock the swap partition yields:
# udisksctl unlock -b /dev/sda2
Object /org/freedesktop/UDisks2/block_devices/sda2 is not an encrypted device.

If I leave the machine for a while and the exit the shell it boots, but
with no swap.
I have not discovered anything useful that I can do while in the
busybox shell.
I have dited /etc/initramfs-tools/conf.d/resume to read RESUME=none as

@vicamo what can we do to help figure this thing out? We have a ton of

I'll gladly try any patches, if that would be helpful to you. I do
however not use ubuntu, so the kernel in #50 is not really an option.

I forgot to add, I'm currently using an older firmware version
RM.4.4.1.c2-00057-QCARMSWP-1 (which is mostly a leftover of searching
for one that doesn't result in crashes). If you'd like to get any logs
or or want me to run any tests, I'll gladly help.
