It works fine on our Mini 10v, in fact it now works much better than
before with much clearer recordings so I don't think this is the same as
the 9.04 bug.

I have the same problem - E520 no sound. Sound worked fine on previous
releases (8.04 and 8.10).
I have followed various troubleshooting guides, but none of them have
worked.

I have followed the instructions at

use the debug files are going to be as when evolution freezes I have to
click on X button to close it - I'm then given the option to force kill
it.
