The same regression vmlinuz-3.2.0-40-generic is noticed on ACER 4830TG.
The boot hangs. Nothing explicit is in the logs. Reversion to
vmlinuz-3.2.0-39-generic works fine.

The bug is still in 12.04 in Xubuntu. Kernel version 3.2.0-25. There is a
difference compared to previously on 11.04, the bug does not start at boot, but
