Just updated my Pulseaudio with the Jaunty proposed repo. The problem
didn't go away.
Haven't tried anything else jet.
My sort-of-work-a-round: I just use the Netwerk Ubuntu as Default
Server, that way i still can use Pulse audio without crashes or high
CPU-usage. I don't make discoverable networ
as far as i know i didn't had to reinstall the NVIDIA diver after a kernel
upgrade. So I thought that was due to the DKMS. But right now i'm confused.
I don't think Ubuntu will release the latest driver in the repos. You can wait
for envy tough.

folks you can wait but i don't see the reason why.
With DKMS (installed by default) there is no need to reinstall the nvidia
drivers after an kernel upgrade.

1. A lot of regression problems such as in this thread

The Option "BackingStore" "false" works for me
Unfortunately I get a lot of other corruption like the grey titlebar. But this
defenately solved the purple corruption.

The fix supplied by garnettxd works, thanx1!
with one exception, OpenOffice. I'm not sure weater the bug is the same,
it might be an other bug because the disorientation is a little purple
and transparent instead of grey. I haven't seen this with an other
application.

Ingo, I've got a ASUS M2N mobo as well. but with the uswsusp 0.7-1
package from http://packages.debian.org/sid/uswsusp my machine still
won't return from suspend properly. I just got a black screen, did you
have this issue as well? If so could you send me a e-mail?

Well i installed XGL and i don't have the gliches anymore.
With emerald the problem is only less obvious.

I have the same problem both with dapper and edgy i hope it will be solved
automaticly so the newbies don't run into problems and reboot to Windows...
should i fill in a bug report for edgy if so please tell me and i will fill
in a new bug report or i will add my comments to an existing one
