I do use effects. And I normally swicth via bottom toolbar. Sometimes I
use mouse wheel, but not so often.

Sometimes, when passing to Desk2 panel I lose everything but the
background (top toolbar bottom launchpad). The only way to get back to
Desk1 is via alt-tab if an application is open.
