Is there anything else I can do to help tackle this bug?

I just did a full apt-get dist-upgrade, and the new kernel versions that

compared to 2.6.31-2), so I still can't tell whether the bug described

Hi Leann,
thanks for looking into this.
Kernel versions 2.6.31-1 and 2.6.31-2 fail to boot altogether on my
machine (see bug 395058), so 2.6.30-10 is the most recent one I can use.
(All older kernel versions since I use Ubuntu (around the time of
Dapper) have also worked as far as I can remember.
