U might try the DVD version of Ubuntu which has a larger repertory of software burnt in and possibly additional drivers. It is possible that the CD(if that’s what ur using) may not come with the native drivers to run ur hardware. The DVD also gives additional options to get Ubuntu installed on y

ion...if U got a Windows OS as well installedmake the Windows Bootloader in the Windows partition to give you the Linux boot option when the computer first boots up...that way U can get to GRUB boot options and then get Ubuntu to boot up from your computer's Hard Drive...Good Luck! Regards
