Yes, it gets tested on intrepid first, to check that it doesn't make
anything else explode. Obviously, having things exploding in stable,
especially LTS releases, is very bad.

Kubuntu-restricted-extras doesn't exist (at least the source package -
it's now in ubuntu-restricted-extras).
In any case, this is a java problem, and has nowhere near enough
